Some Things to Consider..

When planning a safari there are a few things to consider in terms of the style and type of safari experience

Single destination or multiple?

Is the safari and wildlife experience your main focus or would you like to combine your safari with another destination like Cape Town, Victoria Falls or the winelands?

 

Transfers?

Do you want to self drive, take a private transfer or fly between destinations in a light aircraft and enjoy the magnificent views?

 

What kind of wildlife would you like to see?

Whether you are an avid birder, keen to see the "big five" or go whale watching may influence what time of year you travel. 

 

Rustic camp or luxury lodge?

There is a huge choice of fabulous accommodation to suit all tastes.Luxury lodges are often located on private concessions with fewer rooms and 5 star cuisine,  or you may prefer to get even closer to nature with a tented camp.

 

Travelling with children? 

This may influence where and at what time of year you travel. Some lodges will only allow older children to go on drives and some regions are malaria free and more suitable for small children.
